Jerad West

Jerad’s law practice focuses on construction and insurance law and litigation.

Construction

Jerad represents general contractors, sureties, subcontractors, and developers in commercial and residential construction transactions as well as in state and federal courts and in national and international arbitration forums. He has a diverse caseload, handling construction disputes involving acceleration, breach of contract, construction defects, delay, disruption, inefficiency, labor productivity, performance guarantees, schedule impacts, sequencing, and warranties. Focusing on his clients’ business objectives and goals rather than one-size-fits-all forms, Jerad also negotiates and drafts construction and commercial contracts on a variety of project types and delivery models.

Insurance

Jerad provides risk and coverage analysis for his clients and guides them through the investigation and claim processes. In addition, he represents clients in state and federal courts in insurance coverage disputes concerning commercial general liability, property, commercial auto, auto, and homeowners’ policies. He has extensive experience litigating insurance bad faith cases.

Relevant Work Experience

Prior to practicing law, Jerad worked for six years in the risk management and construction industries. He also served for six years as an enlisted soldier in the United States Army Reserve.
