Overview
Real Estate Law + Transactions
Lorenzo represents individuals and businesses in all aspects of real estate law and transactions. He assists clients with residential, commercial, ranch, and rural land transactions, including matters concerning property acquisitions and sales, financing, leasing, property development and management, land use, and zoning. Leasing is a particular focus of his practice, and he regularly drafts, reviews, and negotiates commercial and residential leases on behalf of landlords and tenants alike. He also advises clients on the creation of common interest communities, compliance with the Colorado Common Interest Ownership Act (CCIOA), and the drafting and enforcement of restrictive covenants. In addition, Lorenzo works on homeowners association documents such as bylaws, declarations, and supplemental or amended declarations.
Relevant Work Experience
Prior to becoming an attorney, Lorenzo studied architecture and worked as a CAD draftsperson alongside civil engineers and other design professionals in Salt Lake City. This background provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of real estate projects, made him particularly well-suited to review titles, surveys, and plats, and enhanced his ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with professionals from various disciplines.

In law school, Lorenzo served as the managing editor of the Colorado Technology Law Journal. He also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Michael J. Vallejos in the Denver District Court.

Out + About
Outside of the office, Lorenzo enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife, son, and their dog, Jake. He is an avid sports fan whose favorite teams are the Utah Jazz, the New York Jets (a lifelong allegiance despite his Utah roots), and the University of Utah football team.
