Boulder, CO – Partner, Rudy Verner, joined Mario Molina, executive director of Protect Our Winters (POW), his team, supporters and athletes at Food Lab for discussion addressing climate change.

POW is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by professional snowboarder Jeremy Jones in 2007. With a mission of turning passionate outdoor people into effective climate advocates, POW leads a community of athletes, thought pioneers and forward-thinking business leaders to affect systemic solutions to climate change.

Understanding this mission, it made sense that Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti joined the table as we believe that sustainability, or corporate social responsibility, is a corporation’s initiative to take responsibility for the company’s effects on environmental and social wellbeing. At Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti, we understand that sustainability means fostering respect for people and other living things while at the same time using and managing environmental and economic resources wisely.

Special thanks to Casey Easton, owner of FoodLab, Corrida, Oak at Fourteenth, POW for the opportunity to get more involved in such a great mission.

“We support Protect Our Winters because businesses must start doing more to address climate change.  Working with organizations like POW will help ensure we have a livable planet for future generations.” – Rudy Verner
