BHGR’s IP Group represents entities across the commercial spectrum from emerging companies to mid-size companies to Fortune and Global 500 companies. Our attorneys advise clients on all aspects of intellectual property, including initial identification of IP, asset protection, commercialization, and enforcement of IP rights.

Patents, Trademarks, Trade Secrets, & Copyrights
Our attorneys assist clients with all aspects of patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyrights. We provide domestic and international freedom to operate opinions; patent preparation, prosecution, and enforcement; domestic and international trademark clearance searches, trademark prosecution, and enforcement; copyright registrations; and trade secret advice and counsel. We also counsel clients on IP portfolio management, acquisition, and development and perform due diligence assessments of IP portfolios.
Licensing, Technology Transactions, & Tech Transfers
Our attorneys advise our clients on a variety of domestic and international technology transaction documents, including all types of IP licenses, IP asset sales, development and research, material transfer, sales and distribution, and similar technology transactional agreements. We also advise clients on technology Government contracts that are subject to federal technology transfer legislation and Government acquisition regulations (FARs and DFARs).
Litigation & Arbitration
When necessary to protect or defend our clients’ IP rights, we represent clients in mediation, arbitration, and in state and federal courts. We have represented clients in a variety of IP disputes, including those involving copyright, patent, trademark, trade dress, trade secret, and unfair competition.
