Peter Schaub

Peter represents his clients in all aspects of real estate transactions. He assists his clients with residential and commercial property acquisitions and sales, commercial leasing, development, 1031 exchanges, financing, land use and zoning, and oil and gas rights. He also helps his clients manage their real estate portfolios, handling portfolio sales, purchases, restructures, refinances, and management and leasing agreements. Peter works closely with owners, lenders, title companies, brokers, and property management teams to ensure detailed and timely solutions while tailoring his representation to the needs and goals of each client.

Peter represents individuals and businesses in high-dollar complex ranch and rural land transactions. His background in land use, environmental, and natural resource law allows him to address the unique challenges of this type of work. He is well-versed in conservation easements, agricultural and grazing leases, livestock agreements, remote location access challenges, survey and zoning issues, and water and mineral rights issues. Peter works closely with the nation’s most prestigious private ranch brokers and managers to provide a boutique experience to those seeking to add picturesque land to their portfolio of investment-class assets.

Peter assists his clients with commercial and residential leasing and financing. He represents lessors and lessees in negotiating, drafting, and reviewing commercial and residential leases. He also represents borrowers and lenders in negotiating, drafting, and reviewing loan agreements and financing arrangements, including non-standard and creative financing solutions.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Peter worked as a project manager for CBMR Real Estate, LLC in Crested Butte, Colorado, overseeing the entitlement process for Prospect at Mt. Crested Butte and representing the ski resort at public hearings and work sessions for the final-plan approval of the then-proposed South Village Center and North Village developments.
