Hitting stands around Colorado is the latest issue of 5280 Magazine. Included in this issue is the announcement of 5280’s ninth annual Denver’s Top Lawyers list. To compile this list, the team at 5280 invites lawyers to vote for their peers. Once the votes are in, journalists do weeks of reporting to get an on-the-ground perspective, asking questions like, Who are the best litigators? The finest contract writers? Who’s been quietly building a name for herself? Who’s been coasting on an outdated reputation? Based on those interviews, 5280 Magazine named more than 500 attorneys “Top Lawyer” in 50 legal specialties spanning the seven-county metro area.

Partner Peter Nichols on the Roaring Fork River – Carbondale, CO
Making his Denver’s Top Lawyers debut is Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti’s very own Peter Nichols. Nichols, a partner and decorated water and environmental attorney, began his legal career as the Colorado Water Trust’s very first executive director. Over the years, Nichols has gained particular expertise in the federal Clean Water Act and water rights, conservation easements involving water rights, and the temporary use of agricultural irrigation water rights to meet municipal and other needs. Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti is honored to have one of Denver’s Top Lawyers on our team and looks forward to watching Nichols’ continued career.
