Effective January 1, 2022, Rudy Verner joins Conservation Colorado as a member of their Board of Directors. The 2022 Conservation Colorado board is slated with impactful leaders from all over Colorado.

Rudy is an equity partner at Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti LLP based in Boulder, Colorado. With a practice that focuses on complex commercial litigation and arbitration, he has a reputation that spans many industries and areas of law. Rudy has successfully handled matters relating to insurance coverage, business torts, corporate control, contract disputes, employment, land use and natural resources.
His professional insight and passion for the great outdoors have positioned Rudy to be an effective advocate for climate change policy and conservation initiatives in Colorado and nationally. Rudy is the liaison for the ongoing partnership between Conservation Colorado and Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti LLP. At the firm, he spearheaded the creation of a Sustainability Committee and adoption of “BHGR 2030,” a sustainability initiative aimed at minimizing the firm’s carbon footprint, reducing waste and improving energy efficiency.
Rudy is a member of Congressman Joe Neguse’s Environmental Working Group and advises the Congressman on climate change and environmental policy. He has volunteered his time to assist the Washington D.C.-based Center for International Environmental Law on a project concerning the relationship between pension fund investments and climate change. Rudy previously served on the board of directors for Bicycle Colorado, Colorado’s largest bicycle advocacy organization. He has also served as a guest lecturer at Regis University, where he co-taught the course Introduction to Climate Change.
Rudy received his B.A. from Kenyon College, his Master’s from Boston College, and his J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law. He lives in Boulder with his two sons and their golden retriever.
