Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti’s real estate team remains busier than ever. COVID-19 has rattled tenants, landlords and lenders all over the nation and the legal landscape is ever-changing. To add to that, our personal lives are scattered as we juggle work, home-schooling and life in general amidst a global pandemic.
Work-life balance has always been a major priority for our team at the firm. If you know our attorneys or have seen their profiles, you know they are incredibly involved in our communities, live very active lifestyles and love spending time with their families.
Peter Schaub, partner and lead attorney for our real estate group, is guilty of all forementioned lifestyles. When not practicing law, Peter enjoys spending time with his three young children and lovely wife. He is an avid cyclist and competitor, enjoys telemark skiing, fly fishing and all things soccer. Peter is a certified USSF referee, volunteer coach with St. Vrain FC in Longmont and a board member and VP with St. Vrain FC. Peter also finds some work-life balance on the field, playing center back for the Stormers Masters FC.
I started my morning catching up on emails, one of which, was from Peter regarding his soccer team.
“Ashley – Here’s a link to a video that Altitude Sports did this weekend for the team I play on and we did the jersey sponsorship for last spring (before COVID). The video focuses on Marcelo Balboa, a former USMNT member (1988-2000), who made an appearance in the World Cup in 1990, 1994, and 1998, and was a Colorado Rapids player for 6 years…”
It’s not very often one of my attorneys comes to me with a press matter associating them in a feel good video on Altitude Sports. I, of course, watched and couldn’t be more proud to see our logo on the fronts of these jerseys and the camaraderie and sportsmanship shared among the players of this team. “IT HAS TO BE FUN,” is printed on the back of their jersey. And from what I can tell, it is exactly that.
Peter has been playing with Balboa for four years. “He’s a great teammate and incredible person…watching him play is a clinic every game,” said Peter.
Please, take a break. Watch this amazing video of a bunch of folks, not too different from you or myself, playing some soccer and enjoying life.
