Shane O’Connor
Legal Assistant
Shane is a trial attorney with a broad practice incorporating a focus on complex commercial matters, including contract disputes, business torts, and real property disputes. He represents a wide range of clients throughout all stages of litigation, from pre-litigation dispute resolution through trial and appeal. Shane is comfortable in both jury trials and trials to the court.
Shane has a law degree from the University of Colorado and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Northwestern University. During law school, he represented clients in divorce, immigration, and social security disability proceedings through CU’s civil practice clinic and was a member of the school’s national moot court team. Before law school, he worked as a gas trader and pipeline scheduler in the natural gas midstream and utility industries.
Shane lives in the Denver-Boulder metro area with his wife and son. He maintains several hobbies outside of the courtroom and can often be found on the golf course, hiking and camping in the mountains, reading a book, or cooking for his family.

Shane represents both plaintiffs and defendants through all phases of litigation, including informal settlement negotiations, mediation, discovery, motions practice, trial, and appeal. He has represented individuals, small, private companies, and large public corporations across industries such as real estate, construction, finance, natural resources, and insurance. Shane’s cases have involved a wide variety of claims and defenses, including breach of contract, unjust enrichment, fraud, easements, adverse possession, delay, reformation, liens, and statutory claims.
