Patrick K. Perrin
Legal Assistant
Mr. Perrin’s practice focuses on transactional matters with an emphasis on intellectual property protection and related business transactions, financing, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and procurement. He represents startups, emerging companies, and established public companies, including software and hardware developers, service providers, vendors, resellers, contractors, and manufacturers. Patrick advises clients on each step of the process of developing, managing, protecting, and commercializing intellectual property. Along with protecting trade secret information, trademarks and copyrights, structuring and negotiating license agreements, development agreements, and other transactions, his work includes financing and operations, strategic development and alliances, supply and distribution, marketing, and advertising. Patrick handles mergers and acquisitions, financing, and real estate transactions. Patrick also assists clients with construction prime and subcontract agreements, vendor and distribution agreements, equipment, and materials procurement and leasing, and project finance. His expertise compliments BHGR’s corporate law group with over 25 years of experience.
After graduating first in his class from law school, Patrick served as a law clerk to The Honorable Robert McWilliams, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He started his career at Holme Roberts & Owen as an associate from 1991 to 1997 and a partner from 1997 to 1999 in Boulder. Patrick then helped found the Boulder office of the international law firm of Hogan Lovells, serving as partner from 1999 to 2010. He joined BHGR in January, 2011.
Patrick was formerly a professional tennis player. He earned a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He originally moved to Colorado to attend law school and to pursue his outdoor interests which he still enjoys with his family.
