Nicholas
DeBruyne
Nick is an associate in Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti LLP’s litigation practice group. He assists with a wide variety of matters, but particularly specializes in complex commercial disputes, construction, insurance coverage, and mechanics lien disputes. Nick has over five years of experience working in these practice areas, including fact investigation, discovery management, motions, and trial preparation.
Nick received his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law. There, he served as the Executive Notices and Comments Editor for the Chicago-Kent Law Review and editor for the Seventh Circuit Review. During law school, he also interned for the Circuit Court of Cook County Law Division. Before law school, Nick worked in public figure protection in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he was responsible for protecting some of the world’s most prominent families and at-risk individuals.
Although originally from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, Nick has lived in Chicago for over eight years but now calls Boulder, Colorado his home with his wife and daughter. Outside of work, Nick enjoys spending time with his family, especially snowboarding, hiking, biking, golfing, or otherwise spending time in the great outdoors.
