Jared is a corporate attorney and trusted outside counselor to a diverse array of clients, focusing his practice on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and general corporate and business matters for clients ranging from startups and early stage growth companies to private equity and venture capital investors and their portfolio companies.
Jared has extensive experience advising clients with respect to mergers and acquisitions, choice of entity, business formation, equity compensation, equity financing, divestitures, reorganizations and restructurings, joint ventures, securities compliance, corporate governance, software licensing, and general commercial and contract matters. He has handled transactions ranging from several hundred thousand dollars to billions of dollars in transaction value across a wide range of industries, including software and technology, marketing and advertising services, construction, manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, food and beverage, consumer packaged goods, oil and gas, mining, and transportation.
Jared began his legal career with the international law firm of Hogan Lovells US LLP, focusing his practice on private equity and venture capital transactions before moving to VMware, Inc. where he provided legal counsel to the company’s cloud, channels, and services businesses, handling complex licensing and professional services transactions and acquisition integration before joining Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti LLP.
Jared earned his law degree from the University of Colorado, with an emphasis in Taxation, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Cornell College.
