Legal Assistant
Azar M. Khazian works out of Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti’s California office, and focuses her practice on construction litigation and employment law. Ms. Khazian also has experience in the areas of business and real estate litigation, as well as personal injury litigation. She has represented plaintiffs and defendants in various stages of civil litigation, from inception to final resolution. Her clients have included small and large entities, and individuals; and she has represented them in a variety of arenas, including state and federal courts, as well as before administrative bodies.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Khazian served as Of Counsel for a litigation firm in San Diego County, California. She spent her early years practicing as an associate at a civil litigation firm in San Diego. Before graduating from law school, Ms. Khazian also interned with the Department of the Public Defender for San Diego County.
Ms. Khazian is a member of the State Bar of California, licensed to practice in California. She obtained her Juris Doctor from UCLA School of Law. She also has a Master of Arts in Experimental Psychology and has co-authored two peer-reviewed articles published in the Journal of Environmental Psychology, and Social Influence. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, running, swimming, and spending time outdoors with her family.

Construction Law
Ms. Khazian’s construction law experience includes representing owners, general contractors, and subcontractors in various construction disputes involving defects, delay and disruption, and breach of contract. Ms. Khazian has represented plaintiffs and defendants in court as well as in various alternative dispute resolution forums, including mediation and arbitration.
Employment Law
Ms. Khazian’s employment law practice includes defending companies against claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and contract-based employment issues. Ms. Khazian also provides general counsel to employers on compliance with state and federal laws.
