Jason T. Pink

Jason Pink’s practice is devoted entirely to litigation.  Mr. Pink is an experienced and accomplished trial lawyer who is most at home in the courtroom.  He has tried over thirty cases in his career, the vast majority being jury trials.  In conjunction with his trial work, Mr. Pink has litigated numerous pre-trial motions hearings including suppression motions, motions for summary judgment and challenges to expert witnesses.  Mr. Pink also has a wide range of experience representing clients in depositions, mediations, arbitrations and administrative hearings.

Mr. Pink represents clients in complex commercial disputes including breach of contract claims, business torts, all manner of construction disputes, personal injury claims, and insurance litigation.  Mr. Pink also advises corporate clients regarding compliance with Federal legislation impacting business practices both in the United States and abroad, such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, as well as internal investigations regarding such matters.  Additionally, Mr. Pink has experience defending law enforcement officers, agencies and municipalities in civil rights claims in both state and Federal Court.  With respect to construction claims, Mr. Pink has represented private and public owners, general contractors, prime contractors, subcontractors and homeowners in disputes arising out of a range of projects from multi-million dollar publicly funded projects to residential construction.  Mr. Pink has successfully litigated multi-million dollar claims for plaintiffs and defendants both to verdict at trial and to favorable settlements.

A former Colorado Deputy Public Defender, Mr. Pink remains dedicated to the defense of the criminally accused and will provide the highest level of representation regardless of the severity of the potential consequences or the amount of evidence supporting the prosecution’s allegations.  In both 2010 and 2011, Mr. Pink was recognized by Colorado Super Lawyers magazine as one of the top criminal defense lawyers in the state and was named a “Rising Star” in the field of criminal defense.

Mr. Pink has won acquittals at trial in a wide variety of criminal prosecutions including the most serious felony offenses such as First Degree Murder, Attempted Murder, Felony Assault, Sexual Assault, Drug Distribution, Possession with Intent to Distribute and White Collar Theft.  Mr. Pink has also won numerous acquittals for clients charged with misdemeanors, petty offenses and traffic offenses including DUI and Careless Driving Resulting in Death.  While capable of trying any criminal case to verdict, Mr. Pink strives to resolve the majority of criminal cases to his clients’ satisfaction prior to trial by not only attacking the prosecution’s case on both the law and facts, but also by marshalling as much evidence in mitigation of the alleged offense as possible. Mr. Pink utilizes skilled private investigators and top-notch expert witnesses during the investigative phase of a case; and he also counsels clients in taking the most effective steps to proactively address any personal or behavioral issues which may have contributed to a client facing criminal charges.

In the event Mr. Pink is successful in convincing the prosecution not to file charges, or in obtaining a dismissal or winning an acquittal at trial, Mr. Pink also counsels clients regarding the sealing of criminal justice records and issues related to disclosure (or non-disclosure) of conduct to academic institutions and professional licensing organizations.

When not in the office or the courtroom, Mr. Pink enjoys cycling, telemark skiing, playing golf, cooking and spending time with his family.
